The following main features were added or changed in version 1.3:
Lite features (free mode)
- Added support for GeoJSON format GIS Point List files, both load and save.
- Added Default Colour to Map Settings, to allow user to specify default colour for Point List files which don't contain
colour information
- New View Menu options, Centre Point List, and Zoom Point List, to quickly centre and/or zoom the view to fit currently
loaded Point List data.
- Added button on the Set View Location dialog, to allow the user to select view location from current Point List data.
- User preferences are now stored in the user's AppData\Roaming\MapList-Flat folder rather than windows registry.
- Minor changes in layout and text box size to improve the appearance of some windows, depending upon the user's
currently selected Windows theme.
- Improved file checking and error reporting.
- All saved text files now use default UTF-8 font encoding.
- Fixed bug where some Map Settings were not saved to User Preferences properly.
Pro features (for registered users)
- User may now specify the last contour as well as the first contour on the Map Grid Data Settings.
- New View Menu options, Centre Map Grid Data, and Zoom Map Grid Data, to quickly centre and/or zoom the view to fit
currently loaded Map Grid Data.
- Optimised when to re-calculate contour lines for Map Grid Data.
- Adjusted colour spectrum used for plotting Map Grid Data, including expanding the spectrum to include violet at the
low end.
- Reduced the smallest possible dot size on Map Grid Data plots, to improve display options for highly zoomed maps with
small data step size.
Where previously a dot size of 3 might be used, a dot size of 30 would now be required to produce the same plot.
- Map Grid Data dot size now zooms correctly with map size.
- Added new tool in the Tools Menu that allows users to draw elliptical (or circular) Satellite Beams from a GEO satellite
location onto the map. And to save these beams into a point list or satpat file.
- Added button on the Add Distance circle dialog, to allow the user to select the circle centre location from the current
Point List data.
- Fixed bug where the map display reset from MapQuest to BlueMarble whenever the window was minimised.
- MapQuest access now updated to new MapQuest v5 Static Map API using secure connection, and improved error reporting
in case of network issues.
- New MapQuest Options dialog allows user to select from several available MapQuest map types.
- Added extra check box in View Controls to allow user to separately enable/disable Circle Labels when plotting
Distance Circles.
