Release Date: February 2016.
The following main features were added or changed in version 3.07:
New Features
Lite Features (Free)
- Updated Major Cities list with more cities and more accurate coordinates.
- World Magnetic Model updated to latest WMM2015.
- Map Window location name will be labeled on map, if location has been selected from file or Major Cities list.
- Map Window now includes option to plot azimuth contours as well as elevation contours.
- Map Window now shows nominal azimuth and elevation angles for selected location without having to go back to main window.
Pro Features (requires Registration)
- Main window Tools Menu now includes option to select the satellite from a file, which may be either a simple satellite list
file, a TLE file, or an Intelsat Ephemeris data file.
If the satellite has been selected from a file, the satellite name will be shown in brackets above the Satellite Coordinates.
If the satellite is chosen from a simple list file, it is assumed to have no inclination.
If the satellite is chosen from a TLE or Ephemeris file, then the actual daily orbit inclination will be calculated and used on
the main window.
- Batch Summary Report now includes Average Atmospheric Pressure, Rain Height, and Rain Probability figures
in ITU-R Climate data for each site.
- Added option in the Geostationary Arc window Track Menu, to save a TLE file containing
the two-line elements of the currently loaded TLE tracks.
(Does not include currently loaded Ephemeris tracks or simple satellite labels.)
- Added option in the Geostationary Arc window Track Menu, to save a simple Satellite List file
of all currently labeled satellites.
This includes current satellite labels, Ephemeris tracks, and TLE tracks, where the nominal satellite position is
above the horizon. TLE track satellites will only be included in the nominal position list, if the daily orbital longitude
drift is less than 1degree, that is satellite must be nominally geostationary.
- Added option in the Geostationary Arc window, to Save AzEl List report for all Currently Labelled satellites.
This includes current satellite labels, Ephemeris tracks, and TLE tracks, where the nominal satellite position is above the
horizon.
- Map Window can now save a file of both Azimuth and Elevation map contours for the selected satellite location.
Bug Fixes & Other Refinements
- Various minor improvements to coding and layout.
- Removed leading and trailing spaces in CSV report files, which can cause issues if opened in some spreadsheet programs.
- Fixed bug where CSV and TXT format AzEl List files showed altitude in km instead of metres, (no change to HTML format files)
- Sun Report now avoids rounding link availability up to 100%, will show 99.99% as maximum availability.
- Fixed bug where OK button on city selection dialog does not enable if city selected by key press instead of mouse click.
