The following main features were added or changed in version 3.03:
New Features
Basic Features (Free)
- Upgraded to the latest World Magnetic Model (WMM2010) for calculation of magnetic azimuth (compass direction).
- New check box on the Map window to allow users to enable or disable display of a lat,long grid on the map.
- New Tool to allow the user to select a location from a built-in list of world major cities.
Advanced Features (requires Registration)
- Added extra map movement buttons on Map Window when zoomed.
- New item in Tool menu, allows user to select a location from a user supplied site list file.
- New tab in GEOArc View Options to allow the user to change fonts on the plot.
- New Track menu on the GEOArc allows users to load satellite orbit data from a file in two-line elements format, or 11 parameter ephemeris format, and plot the orbit on the GEOArc.
- After completing GEOArc batch plots, the program now announces completion and reports the number of images saved.
- After completing a TLE File Sort, the program now announces completion and reports the number of TLE records in the file.
- GEOArc batch plots will now use the ITUR Topo model to estimate altitudes at the batch sites, instead of setting all to sea level.
- When running a batch report, the program will now ask the user whether or not to include sites in the report where the satellite would be below the horizon.
Bug Fixes & Other Refinements
- Minor changes and improvements to the layout of all HTML reports.
- Now also able to use the same MapList format text files used by GreatCirc and World1 as batch input files, ignoring any comment lines or formatting command lines.
- After completing GEOArc batch plots, the GEOArc title now properly returns to previous title, instead of keeping the title from the last batch plot.
- Fix in Batch GEOArc processing to deal with the special case if the batch input file has coordinates without names, each site will be named as "Location #xx".
- Pressing enter key on G/T Estimator, Path Loss Estimator or Stability Estimator tool windows now causes a re-calculation instead of closing the window.
- Fix bug in elevation calculation if site is below sea level (negative altitude).
- Fixed some minor memory leak issues.
