Lite Features (Free)
Users of GEOPoint who choose not to register, can still access the following new features in Version 3.0:
- new tab layout for display of information in the main window.
- display of satellite range and loop-back delay.
- pointing angles for antennas with polar mounts.
- display of required tracking speeds to continuously track a satellite.
- option to draw satellite elevation contours on world map.
- updated magnetic (compass) north calculation to latest WMM-2005 world magnetic model.
- updated various calculations according to latest 2005 versions of relevant ITU-R Recommendations.
- new summary report containing all of the information from the main window in HTML format.
- if a user has not specified an inclined orbit satellite, calculations will now be performed assuming the standard default 0.1° station-keeping limits.
Pro Features (requires Registration)
Registered users of GEOPoint had access to the following new features in Version 3.0:
- world map zoom function for more accurate site selection.
- estimation of site altitude from ITU-R topography database.
- display of climate data from ITU-R Climate database for specified site.
- new path loss calculation dialog using ITU-R models, and report output.
- new EIRP and frequency stability estimation dialog.
- new Rain Attenuation Report showing rain fade for a range of frequencies and availability objectives.
- full sky zenith plot option for GEO Arc.
- new tab layout for GEO Arc View Options.
- display of antenna movement limits on GEO Arc diagram.
- ability to choose a Norad two-line-elements orbit data input file for labelling satellites on the GEO Arc or in AzEl Report.
- ability to filter satellite labels containing a specified text string.
- ability to label satellites in the AzEl list report and sort according to satellite label, or satellite longitude.
