  • Project management of major telecommunications projects, based on proven experience on satellite projects in Australia, Hong Kong, Vietnam and the Pacific Islands.

  • Particular expertise and specialist technical knowledge in all areas of satellite communications, including VSAT systems, video broadcast, internet over satellite, and broadband access systems.

  • Frequency coordination and spectrum licensing of satellite communications systems in Australia.

  • Drafting of detailed technical specifications, writing or editing of handbooks, evaluation of technical proposals, and design of satellite earth station systems within budget to achieve business objectives.

  • Proven negotiation skills at an international level, in order to achieve a desirable outcome for clients and their customers. Based on 8 years as the Australian delegate on the INTELSAT Board of Governors Technical Advisory committee in Washington DC, with 3 years as committee Chairman and Vice-chairman.

Previous consultancy work includes design, evaluation and feasibility studies on satellite networks for businesses in India, China, Australia, Vietnam, Tonga, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea; and planning of satellite networks for UN related authorities in Cambodia and East Timor..
